Facilities fit for a community
When they were built they were state of the art, but that was in 1969 when milk was still delivered in bottles that cost only a few cents.
The toilet block and changing rooms at Mt Wellington Stadium Trust, now renamed Bill McKinlay Park Trust, had become unhygienic and inefficient in use of water. The $75,000 provided by the Mount Wellington Charitable Trust has meant a complete refurbishment of the home and visitors’ changing rooms, the referees’ room and toilet facilities.
The Park plays host to thousands of sports participants across a wide range of sporting activities including Football, Touch Rugby, Frisbee and academies for the young children. Giving is good.
