It was Plato who described music as a moral law that gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind and flight to the imagination.
For many kids at the 31 schools in our local community The Tamaki Music School is their first introduction to music. Up to 200 children are part of the school each year and there’s also a large masters music group for those aged 27-70 years old.
The Mount Wellington Charitable Trust has supported the music school for many years and with the latest donation enabling the purchase of another 6 clarinets so that even more people can feel the joy of making music. Giving is good.
